Breaking: British PM Announces SHOCK General Election on June 8

I’m not sure what motivated the lady from 10 Downing Street, but I sure hope that the outcome is a better deal for Britain as it loses its ties to the European Union.

Prime Minister Theresa May has called an early general election.

The PM announced the general election will be held on June 8 in an unexpected speech outside 10 Downing Street.

Justifying the decision, Mrs May said: ‘The country is coming together but Westminster is not.’

She added that ‘division in Westminster will risk our ability to make a success of Brexit’.

Explaining her change of heart on an early election, Mrs May said: ‘I have concluded the only way to guarantee certainty and security for years ahead is to hold this election.’

She concluded by saying it was ‘with reluctance’ that she reached her decision but added: ‘It is with strong conviction that I believe it is necessary to secure a strong and stable leadership this country needs.’

May took office in July 2016 after her predecessor David Cameron resigned as the European Referendum result was announced.

She had previously said she would stay in office until the next general election in 2020.

Under Britain’s Fixed-Term Parliaments Act, the PM can call an election if two-thirds of lawmakers vote for it.

It is unusual for leaders to make a statement outside Number 10 Downing Street and most prime ministers only use the setting for major announcements.

Her office gave no indication on the subject of the statement.

Her unscheduled speech follows a regular meeting with her senior ministers, May’s office said.

As investors awaited news of May’s statement, sterling fell by almost a cent against the dollar and British government bonds extended gains, with yields on 10-year debt falling to their lowest since mid-October.

Putin Goes to Church (Beautiful, Strangely Moving Video)

It’s 40 minutes long, but I sat and watched all of this video showing an orthodox church service. Although I’m not Russian, it put me in touch with my European roots. Putin, a Christian, is trying to remake Russia into a Christian nation again.

You will never see Obama acting with such reverence. For that matter, it might also be beyond Donald Trump too.

Full Text: Vladimir Putin’s Letter to Donald Trump

The (((press))) characterizes Donald Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin by using the insulting term “bromance.”

Real, serious men have serious work to do to undo the idiocy of Obama. Flashpoints over the globe leave us far less safe after eight years of Obama and the prior eight years of Bush.

Finally, two real men will be able to sit down together and hash out our differences.

The Duran

Dear Mr. Trump,

Please accept my warmest Christmas and New Year greetings.

Serious global and regional challenges, which our countries have to face in recent years, show that the relations between Russia and the U.S. remain an important factor in ensuring stability and security of the modern world.

I hope that after you assume the position of the President of the United States of America we will be able – by acting in a constructive and pragmatic manner – to take real steps to restore the framework of bilateral cooperation in different areas as well as bring our level of collaboration on the international scene to a qualitatively new level.

Please accept my sincere wishes to you and your family of sound health, happiness, wellbeing, success and all the best.

V. Putin

The Donald called Putin’s Christmas letter “very nice.”

“A very nice letter from Vladimir Putin; his thoughts are so correct,” Trump said in a statement. “I hope both sides are able to live up to these thoughts, and we do not have to travel an alternate path.”

The release of the letter — which was confirmed as authentic by Moscow — comes days after Russia loudly voiced complaints about its relationship with the US under the Obama administration, and after ambiguous remarks from Trump about the need to “strengthen and expand” US nuclear capability to counter nuclear adversaries.

At his annual year-end news conference on Thursday, Putin said that the US and Russia “need to discuss ways to normalize our relations. During his election campaign, Trump said it would be proper to normalize and it can’t be worse, and I agree with him.”

A Kremlin spokesperson criticized the poor relationship with the Obama administration in an interview Wednesday.

Rethinking Churchill: A Passion for Death, Destruction, and Power

The System lies to us about everything, so why wouldn’t the System glorify that globalist’s globalist, Britain’s version of Hillary Clinton, the Man of the Centuries, Winston Churchill.

If you’re unfamiliar with the criticisms of Churchill, the truth will shock you.

Short excerpt from a long article at Lew Rockwell

To gain any understanding of Churchill, we must go beyond the heroic images propagated for over half a century. The conventional picture of Churchill, especially of his role in World War II, was first of all the work of Churchill himself, through the distorted histories he composed and rushed into print as soon as the war was over.[4] In more recent decades, the Churchill legend has been adopted by an internationalist establishment for which it furnishes the perfect symbol and an inexhaustible vein of high-toned blather. Churchill has become, in Christopher Hitchens’s phrase, a “totem” of the American establishment, not only the scions of the New Deal, but the neo-conservative apparatus as well — politicians like Newt Gingrich and Dan Quayle, corporate “knights” and other denizens of the Reagan and Bush Cabinets, the editors and writers of the Wall Street Journal, and a legion of “conservative” columnists led by William Safire and William Buckley. Churchill was, as Hitchens writes, “the human bridge across which the transition was made” between a noninterventionist and a globalist America.[5] In the next century, it is not impossible that his bulldog likeness will feature in the logo of the New World Order.

But while Winston had no principles, there was one constant in his life: the love of war. It began early. As a child, he had a huge collection of toy soldiers, 1500 of them, and he played with them for many years after most boys turn to other things. They were “all British,” he tells us, and he fought battles with his brother Jack, who “was only allowed to have colored troops; and they were not allowed to have artillery.”[19] He attended Sandhurst, the military academy, instead of the universities, and “from the moment that Churchill left Sandhurst … he did his utmost to get into a fight, wherever a war was going on.”[20] All his life he was most excited — on the evidence, only really excited — by war. He loved war as few modern men ever have[21] — he even “loved the bangs,” as he called them, and he was very brave under fire.

In 1925, Churchill wrote: “The story of the human race is war.”[22] This, however, is untrue; potentially, it is disastrously untrue. Churchill lacked any grasp of the fundamentals of the social philosophy of classical liberalism. In particular, he never understood that, as Ludwig von Mises explained, the true story of the human race is the extension of social cooperation and the division of labor. Peace, not war, is the father of all things.[23] For Churchill, the years without war offered nothing to him but “the bland skies of peace and platitude.” This was a man, as we shall see, who wished for more wars than actually happened.

What Churchill loved was power, and the opportunities power provided to live a life of drama and struggle and endless war.

Yet, in truth, Churchill never cared a great deal about domestic affairs, even welfarism, except as a means of attaining and keeping office. What he loved was power, and the opportunities power provided to live a life of drama and struggle and endless war.

There is a way of looking at Winston Churchill that is very tempting: that he was a deeply flawed creature, who was summoned at a critical moment to do battle with a uniquely appalling evil, and whose very flaws contributed to a glorious victory — in a way, like Merlin, in C.S. Lewis’s great Christian novel, That Hideous Strength.169 Such a judgment would, I believe, be superficial. A candid examination of his career, I suggest, yields a different conclusion: that, when all is said and done, Winston Churchill was a Man of Blood and a politico without principle, whose apotheosis serves to corrupt every standard of honesty and morality in politics and history.

Putin #1: Forbes Names Most Powerful People on Earth–Trump Second

Russian president Vladimir Putin takes first place for the fourth consecutive year in Forbes magazine’s annual rankings of the most powerful people on earth.

There are nearly 7.4 billion humans on planet Earth, but these 74 men and women make the world turn. Forbes’ annual ranking of the World’s Most Powerful People identifies one person out of every 100 million whose actions mean the most.

To compile the list, we considered hundreds of candidates from various walks of life all around the globe, and measured their power along four dimensions.

For the fourth consecutive year, Forbes ranked Russian President Vladimir Putin as the world’s most powerful person. From the motherland to Syria to the U.S. presidential elections, Russia’s leader continues to get what he wants. In second place, President-elect Donald Trump has a seeming immunity to scandal, both houses of Congress on his side, and a personal net worth in the billions. And the third most powerful person in the world also happens to be the most powerful woman: Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany and the backbone of the European Union.

LOL. The full list shows Obama coming in at #48. What a blow to his ego.

The Philippines Rody Duterte came in at #70, which is probably too low. He boastfully kills people like no other national leader in a long time.

Hillary Names “strong” Angela Merkel as Her Favorite World Leader

Hillary Rodham Clinton, Angela Merkel

Does it surprise you that Hillary would name a woman as her favorite leader?

A woman whose open borders policies have created a huge crisis for Europe?

A woman whose popularity has plunged as Germans have discovered the “joys” of diversity, i.e., crime and chaos?

Hillary Clinton trolled two White House opponents with a single response, dinging Gary Johnson and Donald Trump by naming Angela Merkel as her favorite world leader.

The Democratic presidential nominee on Thursday joined the discussion about politicians’ favorite world leaders, a topic that went viral when Johnson, the Libertarian nominee, drew a blank when asked Wednesday to name a world leader he looks up to and respects.

“Oh, let me think. Look, I like a lot of the world leaders,” Clinton said, bursting into laughter initially when asked about her favorite world leader during a gaggle with reporters aboard her campaign plane in Chicago. “One of my favorites is Angela Merkel because I think she’s been an extraordinary, strong leader during difficult times in Europe, which has obvious implications for the rest of the world and, most particularly, our country.”

Clinton praised the German chancellor’s “leadership and steadiness on the Euro crisis,” while adding that “her bravery in the face of the refugee crisis is something that I am impressed by.”

Clinton said she and Merkel have known each other since the 1990s and spent a lot of time together. “And I hope I’ll have the opportunity to work with her in the future, but we could talk about lots of different leaders if you want to sometime,” she quipped as she walked away with a smile.

Her seemingly innocuous response could be interpreted as a two-pronged attack against Johnson and Trump, though.

When first asked the question, Johnson admitted that he was having another “Aleppo moment,” a reference to an embarrassing interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” earlier this month in which he asked, “What is Aleppo?” in response to a question about the city that represents the center of Syria’s civil war and refugee crisis, prompting serious questions about his acumen to be commander in chief.

Trump has frequently attacked Merkel on the campaign trail, panning her for Germany’s intake of refugees, and will likely use that line against Clinton in the final stages of the campaign.

“Hillary Clinton is running to be America’s Angela Merkel, and we’ve seen how much crime and how many problems that’s caused the German people,” Trump said in a speech he delivered last month in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Of course Hillary would admire the Communist who grew up in East Germany.

Saul Alinksy would be proud of her.

New Russian Superhero Arsus the Bear Claimed to Look Like Putin

arsol the bear superhero

The short article in The Guardian newspaper takes a mildly whimsical tone toward a new movie from Russia, Guardians, that features superhero Arsus the bear.

The Guardian

To the dawn of a new arms race, as Russia begins stockpiling its own superhero movies. While American audiences have learned to stop worrying and love the superhero franchise instalments that are shat weekly into their multiplexes by the comic-book industrial complex, Russian audiences have lacked for similar buildup.

That now looks to be changing, with the emergence of a trailer for something called Guardians. Traditionally, the west would have been alerted to this sort of thing by an emergency presentation to the UN security council, but – rather more prosaically – the Guardians teaser seems to have found its way on to YouTube.

Still, do not underestimate its threat to the world’s other superhero superpower. Guardians must absolutely not be viewed as an amusingly ersatz X-Men. In fact, having viewed the trailer several times, I can already say with certainty that it will be my favourite superhero movie of 2017.

Here’s the trailer. Judge for youself whether Guardians is worthy of Russia’s great leader, Vladimir Putin.
