BRENT LUYSTER. FACING LIFE IN PRISON FOR TRIPLE MURDER.
The murder conviction of Brent Luyster was in the national news Saturday night.
It gave the press the chance to hint that all “white supremecists” sport big swastika tattoos and are ready to kill their best friends.
Luyster is what the mathematicians call a surd–an outlier, a rare exception. He’s a curiosity more than anything. His adoption of white supremacy may not have been the result of rational thinking so much as it allowed him to justify being a thug.

A Washington white supremacist covered in Nazi tattoos was convicted for murdering his three friends and shooting a fourth person in the face at a Woodhill home last summer.
The Clark County jury on Friday found Brent Luyster guilty on all charges, including three counts of aggravated murder, one count of attempted murder and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, the Columbian reported.
Luyster on July 15, 2016, fatally shot his best friend, 36-year-old Zachary David Thomas, his 38-year-old pal Joseph LaMar and LaMar’s partner, Janell Renee Knight, 43. He also shot Thompson’s partner, Breanne Leigh, but she survived the vicious attack.
The 32-year-old was able to identify Luyster as the shooter and offered key testimony for the prosecution.
The 37-year-old killer has denied harming his friends and did so again when he took the stand Tuesday, according to the newspaper.
Luyster — a white supremacist who became known to the Anti-Defamation League after beating up a black man — even held back tears when he recounted the moment he learned his friends were dead.
His defense team argued there was a lack of physical evidence in the case, especially because the murder weapon — believed to be a .45 caliber 1911-style pistol — was never found.
Lyuster’s son was also called to testify, but refused to do so and cursed at the judge before being held in contempt of court.
LaMar’s sister and Thompson’s cousin, Abia Nunn, told KOIN 6 she was anxious heading in to learn the final verdict.
“Hearing those words — guilty on all counts — just felt like someone took a tremendous weight off our shoulders,” she said, adding that she doesn’t think Luyster “should be breathing, but the justice system did their job and they did it well.”
LaMar’s mother, Danette Anderson, couldn’t contain her relief upon learning Luyster would be held accountable for the slayings.
“Praise Jesus!” she called out while deputies lead Luyster from the courtroom.
As he walked out, flanked by officer, Luyster turned around a flashed a grin. He is slated to be sentenced Dec. 4 and is facing life behind bars.
Luyster is an inaccurate reprentation of the modern White Nationalist. I wonder how long he’ll last in prison.
