Simply explained: Here’s What Happened With ABC’s Retracted , and completely false, Story about Trump and Russia.
The original story claimed Trump ordered Flynn to talk and attempt to make a deal with the Russian government as just a presidential candidate and not as the President. That would have been very illegal.
What really happened, and why they had to retract their story, was that Trump had Flynn talk to Russia about teaming up on ISIS in Syria AFTER he was President. Which is not only legal it’s extremely normal. It was one of Trumps first acts of foreign policy after becoming President.
So, everything that made that story a story (Trump making deals with Russia before he had the authority to as just a candidate) was false.
Which means it’s what we already knew. Trump worked with Russia on doing something about ISIS in Syria together. That’s it. That’s ABC’s story after the retraction. Which is literally nothing and old news to boot. YUGE and embarrassing screw up by ABC and everyone who ran with it.
Now why was Flynn arrested? That’s as stupid as the screw up ABC just made. Flynn was arrested for lying to the FBI about talking to Russia after Trump became president. Which was really fucking stupid because there was no reason to lie about it, but he did and that is illegal (lying to the FBI), so they charged him.
There you go. That’s the whole story and you better believe Trump is going to have a hay day with his biggest example of fake news yet that cost billions in stock market losses before the real story git out and the market corrected.
News reader Brian Ross should not be suspended. He should be fired.
Let him go to MSNBC and hang out with liars like Morning Joe, Rachel Maddow, and another Brian–Brian Williams.
All of these people are stooges for the (((globalists))) who will say or do anything to destroy President Donald Trump’s MILD pushback against globalism.
Ross’s lie is being punished only because of the negative reaction by the stock market. Somebody is pissed because they lost some money and so good old Brian is going to pay too: His suspension is WITHOUT PAY. LOL!
On the other hand, ABC executives who knew what Lyin’ Brian was up to could have shorted the stock market and made a bundle.
ABC News has announced that Brian Ross would be suspended for four weeks without pay “effective immediately.”
“It is vital we get the story right and retain the trust we have built with our audience – these are our core principles. We fell far short of that yesterday,” the network said in a statement on Saturday. “Effective immediately, Brian Ross will be suspended for four weeks without pay.”
Ross came under considerable fire on Friday after he erroneously reported on live television that then-candidate Donald Trump had instructed Michael Flynn to make contact with the Russians. In a correction seven hours later, the channel admitted that it was “President-elect” Trump who had made the request of Flynn — a pretty significant difference.
ABC issued a correction on Twitter and also updated their original article.
ABC has sustained withering criticism from all corners of the internet since the error first became known Friday.
“We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday,” the network continued in its latest statement. “The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross during the special report had not been fully vetted through our editorial standards process.
“As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online,” it concluded.
It’s not the first time Ross has come under fire for playing fast and loose with the facts, either. In 2012, he falsely suggested that the Aurora shooter Jim Holmes had been a member of the Colorado Tea Party — he was not.
Hungary’s government is anti-Muslim and antisemitic according to globalist financier (robber baron?) George Soros.
Hungary is unique in calling out Soros.
Multiculturalism is failing around the globe. The question is what will Soros get out of a multicultural Europe.
Absorbing a group of mixed race primitives stuck in the middle ages would set Europe back to a greater degree than two world wars ever did.
BUDAPEST (Reuters) – U.S. financier George Soros on Monday denounced a Hungarian government campaign against him as “distortions and lies” designed to create a false external enemy.
Soros, 86, is a Hungarian-born Jew whose longtime support for liberal and open-border values in eastern Europe have put him at odds with right-wing nationalists, in particular the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Orban, who faces elections in April 2018, last month sent to voters seven statements attributed to Soros that, among other things, called for the European Union to settle a million migrants a year and pay each of them thousands of euros.
“The statements … contain distortions and outright lies that deliberately mislead Hungarians about George Soros’s views on migrants and refugees,” said a statement issued by Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
“With Hungary’s health care and education systems in distress and corruption rife, the current government has sought to create an outside enemy to distract citizens. The government selected George Soros for this purpose,” it said.
The ruling Fidesz party’s vice chairman said Soros was engaged in a “frontal assault” against Hungary.
“What Soros writes about immigration, in general, is a pro-immigration stance that is open about its disdain for the nation state,” Gergely Gulyas told a news conference. “Decisions made in Brussels echo that in the field of immigration policy.”
“Days before a recent immigration decision in the European Parliament Soros was meeting with the rapporteur on the subject as well as five different EU commissioners. I am not a conspiracy theorist but this holds some clues.”
Soros said each of the seven statements was a distortion or lie, refuting them one by one. It said Soros proposed admitting an annual 300,000 refugees to the EU only while strengthening European border controls and making migrant relocations within the bloc voluntary, not mandatory as Budapest asserted.
It said Soros proposed no payments to migrants, rather EU subsidies to member states to help them cope with migration.
To three other proposals attributed to Soros – that he wanted milder criminal sentences for migrants, to push national cultures and languages into the background to facilitate easier integration of migrants and sanctions against countries that oppose migration, the Open Society statement said, “Nowhere has Soros made any such statement(s). This is a lie.”
Orban once received a Soros grant to study at Britain’s Oxford University but later turned against the billionaire philanthropist, vilifying him as an alleged mastermind of a global agenda to weaken nation states.
The election campaign of Orban’s Fidesz party has built on a series of billboards warning Hungarians, “Don’t let Soros have the last laugh” and showing a laughing Soros in black and white. Some of the billboards have had “stinking Jew” scrawled on them.
The billboards, along with calls from Orban to preserve Hungary’s “ethnic homogeneity” and his endorsement of a World Two Hungarian leader who allied with Nazi Germany, drew accusations of anti-Semitism earlier this year.
Alluding to the billboards and to Orban’s rejection of immigration, especially from Muslim nations, the Open Society Foundations accused Budapest of “stoking anti-Muslim sentiment and employing anti-Semitic tropes reminiscent of the 1930s”.
Fidesz pulled the billboard campaign just before a July visit to Budapest by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Orban vowed to fight anti-Semitism.
The government has denied its campaign was anti-Semitic, and re-launched the billboards in the autumn in promoting a “national consultation” with voters.
Gulyas said it was “outrageous” that Soros called the campaign anti-Semitic. Immigration which Soros supported was bringing hundreds of thousands of people into Europe whose cultural background was inimical to Jewsm he said.
“It is not us who should be facing anti-Semitism charges,” he said, adding that Fidesz also had nothing against Muslim culture but was against mass immigration of people with a different cultural background to Hungary’s Christian roots.
The embedded video above shows Alex Jones, Mike Cernovich, and Steve Pieczenik talking about the lies and distortions that Megyn Kelly brought to the table with her segment on Jones Sunday night.
NBC is blocking the publication of Megyn Kelly’s “interview” with Alex Jones on youtube. You can watch it on the Megyn Kelly webpage.
Kelly’s interview is a hatchet job. Until I heard the biased language coming from Kelly and her guests I never knew that anyone considered the Fat Man to be offensive because of his presentation of alternate views of some of the major news events of this century–9/11, the Sandy Hook shootings, Obama’s birth certificate, and more. The thing that bothered most of the conspiracy realists I follow was his failure to address the Jewish Question.
You have to believe that the sudden mainstream media interest in Jones is related to his relationship with President Donald Trump. By smearing Jones, some of the mud splatters upon Trump too.
When you consider that the press smears Trump a dozen times a day, seven days a week with their fake news narratives, why would anyone trust the press to tell the truth about Jones or any other “deplorable”?
Furthermore, when you consider the Neocon’s love of war and hostility to freedom, why would you trust the government to tell the truth?
All of the stories related to Kelly’s 17 minutes of anti-Jones, anti-Trump material stick with the narrative that Jones is evil and dangerous.
Excerpt from Variety
The one strong takeaway from the entire segment was that Jones is newsworthy and dangerous because he has the ear of our volatile president. The segment starts with that sentiment, and then proceeds to enumerate various situations in which Jones is a concerning public figure (including an interview with Neil Heslin, who lost his son in the Sandy Hook tragedy). Then it ends. To be sure, Kelly is right to observe that the connection is worth investigating. But the “Sunday Night” segment doesn’t seem like investigating; it’s instead a wind-up to a punch with no subsequent impact.
At least Variety acknowledges Kelly’s failures. But that’s probably because liberals hate her for her prior association with Fox News.
Excerpt from Deadline
One of Kelly’s fiercest critics, watchdog site Media Matters, called the broadcast “a report that was originally billed as a self-promotional head-to-head showdown with Alex Jones but got turned into “a well-edited investigation of the dangers posed by an unstable megalomaniac with millions of loyal fans, including one in the Oval Office” owing to a “well-deserved firestorm of denunciations.”
Insisting that Kelly deserves little credit for the changes the org warned its damage already had been done, saying “the network’s impotent reaction to Jones’ own grabs for media attention may allow the nation’s biggest producer of conspiracy theory media to come out the winner of tonight’s program.”
Jones seemed to agree. On YouTube, he live-streamed himself breaking open a bottle of champagne and calling the broadcast a big win.
Kellybots will follow her lead and spend Monday at the watercooler at work echoing the nonsense that Jones is dangerous. He may be loud and he may not get everything right and he may even be controlled opposition, but questioning 9/11 and Sandy Hook is patriotic, not dangerous.
The dirtbags at NBC and the liberal media don’t understand the appeal of Alex Jones. I could only find one article that treats him fairly.
Excerpt from American Thinker
Considering the longer term, Jones is in touch with and riding the wave of a powerful new meme that’s gaining currency worldwide. Its adherents believe that the game is stacked against the middle class as powerful and often unseen Deep State actors, globalists, the media, academia, popular culture, government bureaucracies, and other corrupt players conspire to transform for the worse life as we know it. Peaceful opposition to this onslaught is, as Jones has defined it – the Infowar. The Internet and the new media are making more plausible a worldwide wake-up call and a paradigm shift in information, awareness, and action. And they aren’t going away.
Meanwhile, one wonders what the NBC suits are thinking now about their widely reported $15 million-plus investment in their new golden girl, Megyn Kelly. She is decidedly not an Infowarrior or open in the least to the emerging new paradigm. And as her work at NBC is demonstrating, she is not even a good journalist.
Styx, not a fan of Jones or Kelly also gets it.
THE TRUMP FREEDOM KIDS DON’T LOOK SCARED.
The sh*ts at the (((SPLC))) are at it again. The very fact of Donald Trump’s candidacy has brought horror to the innocent minds of American school children. According to them.
Commentary after the story.
By Hannah Thomas-Peter, US Correspondent
Donald Trump’s insurgent campaign is causing turmoil in America.
He has peddled fear, anger, outrage and contempt from a national stage.
The Republican presidential nominee has challenged accepted standards in public life – defying convention, decorum and at times, decency.
But the fallout from all of this is being felt well beyond politics.
In Mr Trump, millions have found a voice, and his popularity is shaking and shaping what this nation believes about itself.
Across the United States – on the streets, in schools, mosques, churches and communities – ordinary life is transforming.
It is “The Trump Effect”.
On Friday The Washington Post revealed unearthed 2005 raw footage from an “Access Hollywood” show. With his mic on, Donald Trump bragged with host Billy Bush about his exploits with women, saying:
“I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”
“And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”
“Grab them by the p—-y. You can do anything.”
The comments led to swift condemnation from several influential Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, Republican National Committee Chair Reince Preibus, and a host of other conservative pundits and politicians.
Still, Donald Trump said Saturday that he will “never” drop out of the presidential race.
When you look at how filthy television, movies, and music are today, there is little left to the imagination.
But selective fake outrage is exploding across the political spectrum today, with even Mike Pence turning on Donald Trump, as seen in his statement above.
Many, many thousands of shills for Hillary are commenting everywhere that Trump advocates rape. Some are saying that his comments prove he’s a rapist. Like this guy below. Nigel Farage responded.
Actually, Nigel, Trump didn’t say “it.” He talked about how when you’re a celebrity, women LET you do things they wouldn’t let mere mortals do. So, Nigel’s pithy defense doesn’t really capture the truth.
Let’s cut through the hypocrisy and feigned prudery:
Those of us questioning Hillary’s health were damned by liberals as nutjob conspiracy theorists. Now, the campaign admits to a medical problem: Pneumonia.
That weak, pathetic lie isn’t going to cut it. Here’s the logic showing the pneumonia excuse isn’ the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Excerpt from Zerohedge
Having stated that her coughing fit last week was due to her suffering from seasonal allergies, and that this morning’s fainting episode was due to ‘overheating’, the Clinton campaign now once again changed the constantly changing narrative, releasing a shocking statement by Hillary’s doctor, according to which she was diagnosed pneumonia on Friday, which in turn made her “dehydrated.”
As CBS writes, Hillary’s campaign did not immediately explain why the Democratic nominee did not reveal the pneumonia diagnosis prior to the Sunday incident, raising questions of transparency.
This is what her spox said earlier: “Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen,” Clinton campaign spokesperson Nick Merrill said in a statement Sunday morning. “During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.” We read it twice: no mention of pneumonia.
So when the entire Clinton campaign fell like a ton of bricks on anyone hinting the presidential candidate was unwell after her dramatic coughing fits last week, what word best describes this? And then why did it take two days since Friday for this Doctor Bardack to reveal Clinton’s medical condition?
Five more questions:
Hillary made her infamous “basket of deplorables” comments at a Barbra Streisand fundraiser on Friday night – the same night she was supposedly diagnosed with pneumonia: why go to a fundraiser if sick, especially since pneumonia is contagious.
Hillary has had a nasty, documented cough since January – why did it take 9 months to diagnose this?
If Hillary has pneumonia, and passed out at an event, – why was she taken to her daughter’s apartment and not a hospital? After all, she was as of today aware of her Friday diagnosis.
After coming out of Chelsea’s apartment, why did Hillary says she “felt great” – as of this morning she was aware she had Pneumonia; why not admit the truth for once to the public?
After coming out of Chelsea’s apartment a young girl ran up to Hillary for a quick picture – again, knowing she had been diagnosed with pneumonia why would Hillary expose this young girl to her illness?
What the pneumonia excuse gives Hillary is an out to skip the debate with Donald Trump. Without admitting to any long-term medical condition that would disqualify her from the presidency.
By the way, Hillary should be sued by the parents of the girl for deliberately exposing their child to pneumonia.
Hillary may have pneumonia. But that’s only part of the story, even if it’s true.
One more thing. I saw in a comment at Zerohedge the theory that the (((power elites))) know that Hillary will die in office, which is what they want since Tim Kaine is their man. I’ve said the same thing.
We really need to keep our eye on Tim Kaine. He’s bad news on a magnitude even worse than Barack Obama.
