Midwest Holiday (1952 Education Film Tour of Midwestern States)

Step into a world featuring a man alone, a beautiful woman, romance, and the gorgeous American landscape. The poor fellow does have a somewhat difficult woman on his hands, which adds to the drama.

Less than 30 minutes. This is an entertaining color film that shows white America at its best. It’s great!

Journey through the sights, monuments and mythologies of America’s heartland in this early 1950’s travelogue produced by the Standard Oil company.

A jaded newspaper reporter returns from a long stint in Europe, takes to the highways of the Midwest, and discovers a father-daughter team who help him to realize that his true home lies in mid-America. A fascinating view of Midwestern and Great Plains natural and historical attractions, and a strong statement that mobility equals freedom.
