Notre Dame Students Plan Walkout on Pence Graduation Speech on Sunday

Attending your graduation ceremony is not mandatory. Why bother to show up and then walk out!

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Some students at the University of Notre Dame are planning a walkout when Vice President Mike Pence gives the commencement speech this Sunday.

On Twitter, a student activist group called “We StaND for” is calling for students to silently walk out in protest of Pence’s policies. That tweet can be seen below.

Pence served as Indiana governor for four years.

He will receive an honorary degree at Sunday’s ceremony.

The university says he is the first vice president of the United States to deliver the commencement address at Notre Dame.

Commencement weekend starts Friday with a mass planned for the evening.
