Inspirational Quote of the Day: One About a “Giant Conspiracy”

Alleged role in Ron Paul Newsletters[edit]

In an interview with Reason, Timothy Virkkala, former managing editor of the libertarian magazine Liberty, alleged that Tucker played a role in the production of racially charged newsletters written on behalf of Ron Paul. By Virkkala’s account, he heard from Bill Bradford, then the editor of Liberty, that Tucker was an “assistant, [and] probably a writer” who assisted “editor and chief writer” Lew Rockwell in creating the newsletters.[9] Eric Dondero, who served as (election) campaign coordinator and senior aide to Ron Paul in the mid to late 1990s, told the American Spectator in an on-line reader comment that “Lew Rockwell and Jeff Tucker wrote the newsletters.”[23] According to a political blog by Economist, unnamed “numerous veterans” of the libertarian movement said it was an “open secret” throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s that Tucker and Rockwell ghostwrote the newsletters.[24] In response to questions about his role with the newsletters from Reason, Tucker said, “I just really am not going to make a statement, I’m sorry. I’ll take all responsibility for being the editor of Mises.org, OK?”[9]

Lawsuit: Black Fox News Anchor Plays the Race Card

Kelly Wright? Who dat?

Excerpt from WSJ.com

An African-American on-air host for Fox News has joined a group of current and former employees suing the cable channel and some of its senior executives for alleged racial discrimination.

Kelly Wright, who is a Saturday afternoon anchor for Fox News and a former co-host of the weekend edition of “Fox & Friends,” is one of 11 current and former employees seeking class action status for their lawsuit. Mr. Wright claims in the suit that his race has held him back at the channel and that he has been “asked to perform the role of a ‘ Jim Crow ’— the racist caricature of a Black entertainer.”

A 14-year Fox News veteran, Mr. Wright said he hasn’t been offered the same chances for advancement as his white colleagues and that he was “forced to endure many racist comments,” according to the complaint. He added it is a running joke among the cast and crew at Fox News that he would get more air time if “he dyed his hair blonde.”

The suit, which was originally filed in the New York State Supreme Court in Bronx County last month by two black women who worked in the payroll department at Fox News, has been amended to include 11 people. Aside from Mr. Wright, the rest of the plaintiffs are current and former employees at the channel who work in payroll and accounting.

2017 Maps of Meaning 9: Patterns of Symbolic Representation (Jordan B. Peterson Video)

Here’s something different that most of you won’t want to view. It’s over two hours of Professor Jordon B. Peterson lecturing to a college class.

I’ve had the video playing in the background for an hour and a half as I write these words. There’s a great deal of common sense from a politically incorrect Canadian professor who has had to deny he is a bigot for expressing common sense ideas. Symbolism, philosophy, psychology, mythology and more are woven into a lecture on how we reach our beliefs.

If you’re interested in what made Adolf Hitler a success, he begins talking about him at around the 1 hour and 40 minutes mark. Which is not to say he admires Hitler.

Wikipedia

Peterson records his lectures and uploads them to YouTube. His YouTube channel has amassed more than 200,000 subscribers and his videos have received more than 8 million views as of April 2017.

Peterson has also recently started recording a podcast: The Jordan B Peterson Podcast which has 14 episodes as of April 16, 2017.[12]

Peterson published Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief in 1999. The book describes a comprehensive theory for how we construct meaning, represented by the mythical process of the exploratory hero, and also provides a way of interpreting religious and mythical models of reality presented in a way that fits in with modern scientific understanding of how the brain works. It synthesizes ideas drawn from narratives in mythology, religion, literature and philosophy, as well as research from modern neuropsychology.[citation needed]

Peterson’s primary goal was to figure out the reasons why individuals, not simply groups, engage in social conflict, and try to model the path individuals take that results in atrocities like the Holocaust or the Soviet Gulag. Peterson considers himself a pragmatist, and uses science and neuropsychology to examine and learn from the belief systems of the past and vice versa, but his theory is primarily phenomenological. Peterson explores the origins of evil, and also posits that an analysis of the world’s religious ideas might allow us to describe our essential morality and eventually develop a universal system of morality.

Here’s a couple of his Tweets that offer the flavor of his interests.

Determined Ann Coulter to Speak at Berkeley Public Square on Thursday

This story broke about a half hour ago. The situation is fluid and subject to change. The important thing to bear in mind is that the liberal/progressive/Communist police state in Berkeley wants Ann not to speak. If she does speak, some of them would like her dead, which poses problems for law enforcement.

By this point in time, the Berkeley police have had plenty of time to infiltrate the violent criminal thug groups that call themselves the antifa. If a pro-white group were as violent, all its leaders would be under arrest and charged with hate crimes.

The Hill

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter will give a speech at a public plaza at the University of California at Berkeley on Thursday, sparking concerns about massive protests causing safety hazards.

Coulter will speak at Sproul Plaza, the legendary site of the 1960s Free Speech Movements, an area that is open to the public.

UC Berkeley’s chancellor Nicholas Dirks told the Washington Post the school is worried about not being able to screen attendees for weapons.

If the event were inside, the university could use metal detectors and otherwise search for weapons, Dirks said.

“In an open space, you have almost no control over that,” he added, according to the Post report. “The challenges are immense.”

The Post report indicated the school is readying police for the event.

Coulter has repeatedly insisted she will speak on Thursday, despite Berkeley initially canceling the event over safety concerns. Berkeley attempted to move the event date until May 2, but Coulter rejected the proposed change.

“Nice day for an outdoor speech at Berkeley,” Coulter tweeted Monday, sharing a Thursday weather report for the area.

On Monday, the students who initially invited Coulter to speak filed a lawsuit against the school.

The suit accuses “university administrators and campus police” of “repressive actions” to stifle free speech.

Berkeley’s concerns for safety follows massive protests that erupted on campus in February, after the same College Republicans group that invited Coulter brought right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos to speak at the university.

A Berkeley student who is a member of the student groups that invited Coulter told the Post that he shares the school’s concerns for safety, and they are hoping to find an off-campus space for the talk.

He said Coulter has still insisted she will speak at the public plaza.

“We’re worried about it turning into a huge battle between her security and conservative militia and anti-fascists and others,” student Pranav Jandhyala told the Post. “To have that right in middle of Sproul doesn’t bode well for the image of our school or the city. We’re worried about violence and student safety and our own safety as well. It’s a huge safety concern.”

While I was putting together this post, Breitbart broke the news that the Young Americans for Freedom are pulling out of the Ann Coulter event due to the extreme danger. YAF blames a university administration hostile to free speech for their action. I believe we might call their action cowardly.

Breaking! Judge Blocks Trump’s Sanctuary Cities Funding Order

There’s clearly a lot of foot-dragging going on by the USA government’s lawyers who are supposed to be arguing for President Trump’s policies. Holdovers from the Obama era are sabotaging the rule of law.

Mercury News

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge Tuesday halted President Donald Trump’s executive order stripping sanctuary jurisdictions of federal funding, dealing a blow to the Trump Administration’s efforts to punish so-called sanctuary cities and counties.

With Santa Clara County and San Francisco’s landmark motion for a preliminary injunction approved, the section of the executive order applying to sanctuary jurisdictions will not go into effect until the court rules on the county’s Feb. 3 lawsuit against the administration.

District Judge William Orrick issued a ruling less than two weeks after a hearing on the case. Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez called it a victory for immigrant rights.

“We’re fighting for the United States Constitution and we succeeded after the Trump Administration tried to do an end run around it,” Chavez said in a statement. “The court’s decision is a win for the neediest people in our nation. Seniors in need of food, foster youth in need of shelter and children who need medical care. We’ll continue being a welcoming, safe and diverse community.”

The case has placed Santa Clara and San Francisco at the center of a contentious debate about sanctuary cities and counties. Hundreds of jurisdictions around the country have declared themselves sanctuaries for undocumented immigrants, proclaiming they will not turn those immigrants over to federal agents, despite repeated threats from the Trump Administration.

But an April 14 hearing at the Phillip Burton Federal Building revealed those threats were largely symbolic–federal attorneys confessed they had no idea how President Trump’s executive order stripping sanctuary jurisdictions of federal funding would actually work.

They said the government at this point hasn’t identified any “sanctuary jurisdictions,” must less defined what the term means.

The admissions suggested that the Trump administration has done little so far to translate months of threatening words from the president and Attorney General Jeff Sessions into a real anti-sanctuary policy.

Orrick appeared to sense the ambiguity of the policy, at one point asking, “What would the purpose of the executive order be?”

The bolded statement above is an admission that the goal of the left is to import the entire world while making white taxpayers pay every expense for the alien populations.

If that doesn’t scare you, nothing will. To add insult to injury the left, represented by the words of Cindy Chavez, is claiming that the Constitution requires open borders and taxpayer support of illegals.

The time for talk is rapidly drawing to a close. The time for action, real action, draws ever nearer.
