Foot soldier in the Deep State war on Donald Trump, Khizr Khan, father of an American soldier killed in Iraq, has resurfaced once again to smear the Trump administration. Khan had attacked candidate Donald Trump and when Trump responded to those attacks last year, liberal heads exploded.
This time he’s claiming “without citing evidence” that he’s facing some sort of travel restriction that has kept him from going to Canada to give a talk. Not even the leftist press is gullible enough to fall for that one.
On Monday, a group called Ramsay Talks canceled its Tuesday event in Toronto, because the event’s featured speaker, Khizr Khan, would not be able to attend. Khan, the Gold Star father famous for challenging Donald Trump in an appearance at the Democratic National Convention last year, had reportedly been told that his “travel privileges are being reviewed.” Khan has been an American citizen for more than 30 years.
In its announcement, Ramsay Talks quoted a statement said to be from Khan. “This turn of events is not just of deep concern to me,” he reportedly said. “But to all my fellow Americans who cherish our freedom to travel abroad. I have not been given any reason as to why.” When reached by Slate for elaboration, Khan said he had no comment.
Khan (pronounced like con) is a Muslim. His citizenship is irrelevant if his first loyalty is to Allah. He should be allowed to travel abroad and then not be allowed back into the States.
A web site unfamiliar to me explored the situation, concluding that Khan is either mistaken or a liar.
Excerpt from Deplorable Digest
Here’s what Daniel Hetlage, Director of Media for US Customs and Border Protection had to say:
U.S. Customs & Border Protection does not contact travelers in advance of their travel out of the United States. With respect to Global Entry or trusted traveler membership, CBP’s engagement is about the status of membership in the program, not any particular travel itself. Of course, any US citizen with a passport may travel without trusted traveler status. All individuals are subject to inspection departing or upon arrival to the United States. U.S. Citizens are afforded protections under the privacy act and therefore we would not be able to discuss any specifics. [emphasis added]
So to summarize, the feds don’t send you notice when they’re trying to look for your dirty laundry.
If Khan and the media can’t figure out how to spin this story it will soon be forgotten until the lying fool opens his mouth to promote some new nonsense story.
