Florida Panic Over Sonic Boom as Military Jets Protect Trump from Unidentified Aircraft Violating No-Fly Zone

There’s a simple way to identify the Trump haters vs the Trump people. Trump haters hate America. They hate him because he loves America. The Trump people love America, or at least the originalist concept of it. They love Trump because he loves America.

Fox News

Two F-15s caused a ‘sonic boom’ as they raced from their base in Homestead, Fla., Friday to intercept an unresponsive general aviation aircraft that flew near Palm Beach during a stay by President Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

The jets flew at supersonic speeds and residents were startled by the loud boom, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, NORAD, said in a statement. The two fighters were able to establish communication with the aircraft. This incident occured at about 7 p.m. ET. No further details were immediately available.

“The intent of military intercepts is to have the identified aircraft re-establish communications with local FAA air traffic controllers and instruct the pilot to follow air traffic controllers’ instructions to land safely for follow-on action,” the statement read.

Earlier this month, a private plane got within 2 nautical miles of Air Force One, which is closer than permitted, while flying over Florida and the incident is being investigated by authorities, Bloomberg reported.

The planes were flying on a parallel route and there was no risk of a collision during the incident, which occurred 30 miles out on Feb. 3, sources told the news agency. President Trump arrived safely at Palm Beach International Airport.

The report said that when Air Force One is in flight, Secret Service agents work with FAA supervisors and monitor for threats.

  2. Was the flier Harrison Ford? He has had 3 or 4 crashes while he is flying which proves he is physically tough but maybe not a great pilot. He tried to land on a taxiway, where 200 passengers in a commercial jet were endangered, just a few days ago. Time for him to stick to acting, or being a passenger.

A shame the US Air Force was stood down by Cheney during 911. The only major air based attack on US soil I have ever hear of, and the defending pilots were not allowed to fly that day.

  3. We demand “term limits” for Hollyweird libtard celeb-pilots!

How old is flyboy Travolta now? He used to own a home+private hangar in the Spruce Creek Fly-In community in the ’80s &/or ’90s (Central FLA E.Coast).

Sonic Booms > used to hear them when living further South closer to Cape Canaveral. Nice to know those jets are doing their job for a change.

Harrison Ford was a jerk to Trump when Trump said (or tweeted) he loved Ford as the Prez in the Air Force One movie. Ford condescendingly snorted in return something like, “It’s not reality, Donald! It’s just a movie!” What a snot of a man who can’t even accept a compliment graciously but has to insult the complimenter’s intelligence. These people are insufferable.

The good news is, Trump now “owns” the Air Force One theme song which was played at many hangar rallies during the Trump Force One landings. Very cool!

      • I guess I should clarify: I don’t know that Trump bought “rights” to the music but only that he “owned” it in a manly-man sort of way by having it played at campaign hangar rallies (but I’m sure you got that).

When I searched for a youtube example video, headlines showed up from Summer 2016 saying Trump was being asked to NOT use the Air Force One music at his rallies, grrr. What arses!

Worse than Trump is Ford again > a headline also showed up saying that when Ford made the Air Force One movie, that they never even bothered to contact the composer (Jerry Smith I think?) to ASK if they could use it in the movie!! Pretty tacky & a big difference between movie makers ($$$) & a Presidential candidate using the music!

Last Summer I gathered as many YT examples as I could find of the Air Force One theme song being played as Trump’s plane entered the area of the hangar rallies. I saved them here:

    • I used to hear sonic booms regularly in the early 1960s in what was then Western Sydney and is now Inner Western Sydney. Never heard one since about 1966 or so. RAAF probably got sick of paying for broken windows, and letters of complaint etc.

I will speak in favour of John Travolta because he owns or owned a fully operational 727 which he flew himself and it is/was painted in the Qantas colours. Presumably Qantas maintained the plane and paid some extra cash to Travolta. Travolta often attended Qantas dos in Australia giving the airline good publicity. He flew the 727 to Australia just a couple of years ago for such an event. He had the 727 parked at his house in those days, maybe he still does.

It is funny to wonder what might have happened had Qantas less wisely chosen Harrison Ford to fly a plane with Qantas livery.
Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man “Qantas doesn’t crash”. Did Qantas get this ad in the movie for free? After Harrison Ford flies Qantas painted plane…. “Qantas does crash”.

      • Thanks for the Aussie stories. Very interesting!

Funny about the “broken windows.” A few years back, at a site called Flagler Live (for Flagler County, Central FLA East Coast), they had several posts re people freaking out re same thing, their windows & cupboards, etc. being violently (but temporarily) rattled by big booms. The site investigated to learn it was military jets. Same thing occurred around Deland/Deltona area (more inland Central FLA towards Orlando), people freaking out > turned out to be same reason, military “exercises” & what not.

As for Travolta, not being as old as Harrison Ford, he’ll get to keep his “wings” a little longer. 🙂

Funny about the Rain Man line! 🙂 Not being familiar with Qantas, I’m sure the meaning went over my head. Great movie!

It’s been 20 years, but I don’t think the Spruce Creek Fly-In had runways & hangars big enough for jets, but for smaller planes. I knew people renting a house there back then & they said Travolta had a house there as well. Some of the houses, for those with planes, they could taxi the plane up to their house (if I’m remembering correctly). I do remember seeing the runways, though; definitely did not look big/long enough for jets, but I’m no expert! 😉

Is Travolta a libtard? Probably so.
