When the family of Reagan Tokes (aka Gee Gee) went missing, they could not have known that a violent Negroid sex offender had already killed her. They tried to get her home safe, but America’s egalitarian myths killed their baby.
What more is there to say about Brian Lee Golsby, pictured below, other than that he’s a feral ape deserving of the death penalty.
The music stopped at the Bodega in the Short North on Sunday night.
Though the restaurant was packed with patrons, silence filled the space for a long, solemn moment of remembrance. Many held candles in tribute to Reagan Tokes. So many people brought flowers to honor her that they filled both front windows.
Tokes, 21, was last seen alive Wednesday night in the Bodega, where she worked part-time while she attended Ohio State University. She expected to graduate in May.
Her violent kidnapping and death, which occurred shortly after she left work that night, has left many stunned.
“I’m still in shock,” said Vara Pamidimukkala, an Ohio State senior. “She was a nice person and very friendly. She did not deserve this.”
As friends mourned, authorities continued to build a case against Brian L. Golsby, the registered sex offender accused of abducting, raping and killing Tokes.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien is considering the death penalty for Golsby and will ask a Franklin County Municipal Court judge Monday to keep him in jail without bond, according to a court filing.
Grove City police late Saturday night filed a rape charge against Golsby, 29. He is also charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
“The defendant has a lengthy juvenile record and an adult record that has resulted in two prison commitments that establishes he is a danger to the community and should be held without bond,” O’Brien’s motion states. O’Brien mentioned that Golsby could face “potential capital charges.” The prosecutor’s office will later present the case to the Franklin County grand jury for felony charges.
Golsby admitted kidnapping Tokes in the area of North High Street and 3rd Avenue in the Short North on Wednesday night, according to a complaint filed in municipal court. They left in Tokes’ car and went to a Chase bank ATM on South High Street, where Golsby forced Tokes to withdraw $60, court records allege.
Golsby then took her to the Scioto Grove Metro Park in Grove City, where he raped her and then shot and killed her, according to the complaint. She was found at the park Thursday afternoon.
Columbus police found Tokes’ silver 1999 Honda Acura on Friday morning in the 700 block of Oakwood Avenue on the Near East Side. Authorities say a state Bureau of Criminal Investigation agent recovered Golsby’s DNA from a cigarette butt located in Tokes’ car. He was arrested at a house in the 1000 block of Forest Street on the South Side early Saturday morning.
The Tokes family has set the funeral service for Reagan Tokes for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett St. in Maumee. The visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for a scholarship fund in memory of Tokes. The proceeds from sales at the Bodega on Sunday will go toward that fund.
Mary McCarroll, who lives in the neighborhood and is a frequent patron of the Bodega, stopped by to contribute.
“It hits close to home,” McCarroll said. “We live around here. It could have been any one of us.”
The girl’s love killed her. You have to hate the Negroid race with every ounce of being in your body if you want to stay alive today.
