A quote from the much quoted Alan Watts.

  1. Watts misses the point where it concerns what happens to us today. When he says that, “The meaning of life is just to be alive.” , he is incorrect in terms of our modern life. [I’m not aware about him or when he lived].

The truth for these days, which may not have been the case when Watts made his statement, is that – The meaning of life is just to be alive – and to live our life in true freedom. When freedom is removed by others from us, it is our duty to restore it. Unless we do, those who have removed our freedoms will soon begin removing our control over our life (sound familiar?), and will then begin to remove life itself.

    • A lot of White Nationalists like Watts. He died in 73. He popularized Buddhism among the 50s beatniks and among the 60s hippies. He lived in the San Francisco area. I normally would have inserted the link to his Wikipedia, but my Internet connection was horrible when I was putting the post together.

Maybe his advice was intended as much for the power elites as it was for the hippies who worshiped Watts. I’m going to do more of his quotes since WNs seem to like him.
