Jason Johnson is clearly trying to look younger than his years by sporting that hipster hairstyle. Johnson allegedly has a history of seeking sexual involvement with young teen girls. I guess the nicest thing you can say about him is that he’s not a queer seeking young boys.
Here’s the MO of how a older male interested in young teens operates, courtesy of WJBF.
18-year-old Kelly Williams saw the Amber Alert about Waskow and immediately recognized the man accused of abducting Calah, 37-year-old Jason Johnson.
“I thought it was crazy because that could have been me years ago and I’m glad that I didn’t get caught by him,” said Williams.
Williams says the 37-year-old added her on Facebook because she was friends with Johnson’s daughter.
She says this happened about four years ago when she was just 14-years-old.
“He found me on Facebook after I posted on his daughter’s timeline because she and I were talking. We weren’t best friends but he was pretty much suggesting that he wanted to do sexual things with me. I kind of ignored it, brushed it off, but then it got worse. He sent me pictures, stuff like that,” said Williams.
Williams says the photos Johnson sent were nudes.
She says as the conversations went on, Johnson started threatening her. Williams never alerted authorities.
“My mom told me to block him because this has happened before. It happens all the time. I just brushed it off, blocked him, that’s about it,” said Williams.
It’s a reminder to pay attention to who your children are talking with on the internet.
“I would say don’t accept any friend requests from people you don’t know. Especially a 40 year old man,” said Williams.
Investigators say there could be other victims out there.
The MO is pretty simple. Facebook opens up new vistas for pedophiles.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – WJBF NewsChannel 6 is learning 15-year-old Calah Waskow has been found alive.
WJBF NewsChannel 6 has confirmed Calah Waskow and Jason Johnson have been located in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Officers in Sevierville say they received a call from a gentleman who was following the subjects.
They went from gas station to gas station and then were finally stopped and detained at the Russell Stover Candy Store.
Johnson is being taken into custody by Sevierville Police Department.
Calah Waskow is being transported to the Emergency Room to be evaluated.
On Saturday after noon Waskow’s brother, Jayson Wheatley, posted to Facebook saying “they found her and have him in custody. Tennessee is where they were caught.”
WJBF NewsChannel 6 is working to get the latest details in this investigation.
Our grandmothers and great grandmothers and on back were often married at age 15 or 16. There’s something unnatural about prolonging childhood into one’s 20s, as is the case now.
Men have always been attracted to teens. In olden times, a Jason Johnson would have asked for Calah’s hand in marriage.
It’s not acceptable to kidnap a girl though. Johnson is going to spend a long time in prison. Where presumably the warden will keep him away from Facebook.
