Time magazine has just published “fake news,” in the form of a highly inaccurate description of Richard Spencer.
This bad reporting comes wrapped in an extraordinary story.
The school that Richard Spencer attended years ago has denounced him. I’ve never heard of a school denouncing a former student. Lee Harvey Oswald, the alleged assassin of JFK, was never denounced. The schools that cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer attended never denounced him. I could go on about tens of thousands of murderers never denounced by their schools.
But here’s a school that Spencer attended maybe 15 years ago denouncing him. Hell, nobody even knew what schools he attended.
What next? Will his first grade teacher denounce him too?
“We reject racism and bigotry in all its forms and expressions”
St. Mark’s School of Texas, the prep school attended by the white nationalist Richard Spencer, has denounced the former student’s racist ideals.
School headmaster David W. Dini issued a statement against Spencer on Friday, days after a video was released showing him quoting Nazi propaganda in German in a highly anti-Semitic speech during a white nationalist conference held to celebrate Donald Trump’s election win. Several audience members raised Nazi salutes toward the end of the speech.
“This has been deeply troubling and terribly upsetting to our whole school community,” Dini wrote. “At St. Mark’s, we reject racism and bigotry in all its forms and expressions.”
Dini wrote that Spencer’s ideas and views “conflict directly with our core values and principles.”
“We remain deeply committed to including and valuing all students of different backgrounds, races, religions, beliefs, and experiences, and our commitment to those ideals is paramount and immutable,” Dini wrote.
Former classmates of Spencer have also expressed their dismay, and set up an online fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee, in an effort to settle refugees in Dallas. So far, the group has raised more than $40,000.
This is a bullsh*t story on so many levels. First, it misrepresents Spencer. His speech was not antisemitic and it did not quote so-called Nazis. It used the German word lugenpresse, meaning lying press. How ironic, given that Time is lying about Spencer.
Second, it illustrates the Stalinist mindset that has infected too many people. It goes beyond political correctness to a totalitarian way of thinking. What school has ever before denounced a former student? That’s just insane.
Virtue signaling is unbecoming to St. Marks. The school really should be boycotted by parents who are opposed to anti-white indoctrination.
There are other legal forms of sabotage that we could aim at the school. My favorite would be to fund a small scholarship in the name of Richard Spencer. The scholarship would only be open to white male students who pledged their allegiance to National Socialism.
