San Antonio High School Stages Mock Assassination of Trump

Marshall High School, pictured above, is not far from my current location. There’s not been much scandal associated with the school over the decades. Now there is, though.

After reading the story, ask yourself what the appropriate punishments should be for the teacher and students involved.

At least this story isn’t about student-teacher sex!

My San Antonio

A skit portraying the assassination of President-elect Donald Trump by two 10th grade students at Marshall High School provoked anger and dismay from the parents of a student who watched it unfold last week.

Harold and Melinda Bean said that in the skit, entitled “The Assassination of Donald Trump,” one of the boys made a gunfire sound effect with his cell phone as the other boy, portraying Trump, fell to the ground in mock death.

All of the students were required to submit descriptions of their English class presentations beforehand to be approved by their teacher, the parents said, but these two students in particular changed their skit afterward.

“Appropriate action” was taken to reprimand both boys and their teacher, said Northside ISD spokesman Barry Perez. The parents, however, believe more should have been done, including suspending the two students.

“Honestly I have run out of words to describe how angry I am and how shocked I am that they’re still in school today,” Melinda Bean said.
Younger children using their hands to simulate guns on the playground have been suspended, she said, and this was far worse.

The teacher apologized Monday, Harold Bean said, but that wasn’t enough.

“I don’t understand how the teacher can repeat an apology and be right there back at work on Monday morning,” he said. “Though we understand she is apologetic, it does not make the situation right.”

Perez said campus officials investigated the incident and found that the teacher didn’t condone it and stopped the skit. But Harold Bean questioned why she allowed it to start once she heard the title.

“Pardon my language but I think that it’s a bunch of B.S. if they’re going to tell you the kids were stopped,” Harold Bean said.

Although the media won’t say, the students involved are probably Mexicans. Marshall is pretty heavily Mexicanized. It’s located in an older suburb in San Antonio that has slowly turned from “Anglo” (the racist term that Mexicans use to describe white people) to Latino. San Antonio is a “sanctuary city” that is home to a large number of illegals.

Whatever the ethnicity or race of the students involved, a visit to their homes by the FBI is in order. So is a suspension and/or other punishment. It’s too bad paddling rear ends has been outlawed.

The punishment of the teacher involved is more iffy. I’ve seen some women teachers who honestly can’t control what students do. The news report doesn’t provide enough information to make a judgement about what her (or his?) punishment, if any, should be.

What are your thoughts? Surely, this incident should not be ignored.

  1. Maybe a mock firing squad shooting the culprits against a brick wall would neutralize the idea; never a bad idea when dealing with Mestizos: They understand harsh consequences better than anyone…

  2. I’ve been mulling over whether to move to SA from Mexifornia because of TX freedom and there are four churches of my denomination (Anglican Catholic Church. The word “Catholic” has nothing to do with the RCC. We are distinctly Protestant as in the original Church of England before it got corrupted) but when I see shit like this I have second thoughts. I just turned 65 and this would be a huge step for me, especially because I’m a 3rd generation Los Angelino.

To our host, could you please give me some guidance?

    • A couple of other things:

I have been blessed all my life living with absolutely the beat weather on the planet especially when it comes to humidity. That issue gives me great pause when I consider a relocation. I’m OK with heat but not so much with humidity.

I also have no family left and have become a very solitary man, which given all the idiocy out there is usually not a bad thing.

Please take those things into account if you choose to answer.
