Federal Charges Filed Against Man Who Allegedly Threatened to Assassinate Trump

ZACHARY BENSON. SMALL TIME IDIOT. DRUNK.

With all of the young ladies and gentlemen of color that we’ve seen on Twitter and Facebook making death threats against our new leader, who gets arrested and charged? A white man, of course.

Am I the only one that understands that for the most part, blacks get a pass when it comes to assassination threats against Donald Trump? I also can’t recall any women of any race being charged. As usual, it’s the white man who gets the shaft. How about some equal justice, you LEOs?

Federal investigators in Cleveland, OH arrested a 24-year-old man who they say posted a series of threats against supporters of Donald Trump after election results started coming in late on the evening of November 9th. The feds say the suspect, Zachary Benson, 24, also posted another tweet early the following morning threatening to assassinate Trump once it was clear he was going to be president-elect.

Court documents obtained by LawNewz.com show the first tweet Benson allegedly sent said, “Diplomacy. F*cking fools. I hate you all. I want to bomb every one of your voting booths and your general areas.”

Federal investigators say the second tweet stated, “My life goal is to assassinate Trump. Don’t care if I serve infinite sentences. That man deserves to decease existing.”

U.S. Secret Service Agents contacted Benson on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, and they say he admitted to making the posts and seemed apologetic during an interview. Court documents state Benson told officers he had been out drinking and made the threats after he retuned home for the evening and started watching election returns.

Benson allegedly told the agents he had no intention to act on the threats and he was simply frustrated with the election results. Agents say he also expressed a belief that his “lack of bonding with his parents as a child” may have caused to him to have trouble properly expressing his feelings.

Based on his statements in the interview, Benson was charged with knowingly making a direct threat to the take the life of the president-elect.

Maybe Benson will use the Hillary defense: I had no criminal intent. I made a mistake. I’m sorry.

She got off nice and clean. So far!

  1. I’m sure the feds are coming down on him because he is white, not that I approve of any threat to assassinate an official.

I’d bet if the guy was black no charged would have been filed “he beeze a good boy with a future in rap music.”

    • It is not nice what this person wrote, but hey, it is freedom of speech. Trump can withstand threats etc. It is just part of the game.

  2. Maybe ‘puters should be fitted with a breathalyzer, which immobilizes Social Media when the idiot at the keyboard is drunk. Social Media log on could include a test to see if all brain cells are firing.

Diplomacy? I think he meant democracy. He wants to bomb Hillary voters and non voters also?
What are general areas? Everywhere that is not a voting booth maybe.
Decease existing, an interesting Freudian slip. He meant cease existing.
Maybe drunks like this guy should get their ‘puter impounded for say 1 year and be banned from Facebook and Twitter for life.
I suppose infinite jail sentences are possible but I have never heard of any US ones more than 1000 years or so. Usually by adding multiple jail terms to be served consecutively and not concurrently.
“I sentence you to infinity in a lake of fire”. Ouch, that work hurt for the first million years or so. Some poster here proposes just that for 99% of the population.
