Harry Burkhart’s origins are unclear. The AP calls him a German because he traveled on German papers, while Wikipedia writes that Burkhart has claimed to be a Chechen refugee. His mother claims to be German, but speaks only broken German, but apparently speaks Russian fluently.
These migrants to America offer a good example of a broken vetting process. Mom is a crook and junior is a nut case arsonist who terrorized the city of Los Angeles, setting cars afire while the city slept.

The 2011–2012 Los Angeles arson attacks were a series of fires started on December 29, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. It was the worst case of arson reported in the area since the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Harry Burkhart, 24, who was wanted in Germany on suspicion of burning down his home, was charged in Los Angeles in January 2012 with 28 counts of arson of property and nine counts of arson of an inhabited structure. Prosecutors said that Burkhart was “motivated by rage against Americans” and sought to terrorize as many people as possible when he torched dozens of cars, homes and garages late at night, when most residents were sleeping, to inflict maximum fear and damage.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A German man set nearly 50 fires in a California arson spree because he wanted revenge for his mother’s deportation, a prosecutor told jurors Monday.
Harry Burkhart inflicted “unspeakable devastation and terror,” Los Angeles County prosecutor Sean Carney told jurors in his opening statement, City News Service reported. Burkhart, 29, had threatened to “roast America” after his mother, Dorothee Burkhart, was ordered extradited to Germany to face fraud charges, prosecutors said.
Authorities say Burkhart placed incendiary devices under cars in Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley and West Hollywood on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31, 2011, and on Jan. 2, 2012.
Some vehicles were in carports and in 19 cases the fires spread to homes and apartments.
The sheer number of fires “brought the fire department in this city to its knees,” Carney said.
There were no serious injuries or deaths as a result of the fires, but damages were estimated to be more than $3 million.
Trump’s wall would not have kept the Burkharts out since they came to the U.S. via Canada. Maybe there should be a northern wall as well as a southern wall.
