Hopefully, 62-year-old Kathleen Marie Steele’s days of giving birth are now permanently over.
Police are claiming that the elderly mom’s young children (ain’t science wonderful?) were running wild.
As in wild enough in the case of the six year old boy to beat his 13 day old sister to death.
It’s hard to imagine, but it happened.

A Florida mom who appeared on the reality TV show “I’m Pregnant and 55 Years Old” has been charged with manslaughter after leaving her 13-day-old daughter alone in a minivan with her 6-year-old son — who authorities say beat the infant to death.
The horror unfolded Monday when Kathleen Marie Steele, 62, who gave birth to the girl, also named Kathleen, after being artificially inseminated, left the baby, her 3-year-old daughter and her son alone in the locked vehicle while she went into a cellphone repair store in St. Petersburg, cops said.
When baby Kathleen began crying, the 6-year-old slammed her head against the ceiling and violently tossed her around to make her stop over the course of 38 minutes while they were left alone, said Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri.
“It was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen,” Gualtieri said at a news conference Thursday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The baby girl was pronounced dead later that evening at St. Petersburg General Hospital. She suffered head trauma and had multiple skull fractures, an autopsy revealed.
“The baby was beaten and traumatized,” Gualtieri said. “There was gross swelling in her face. Her skull was cracked in numerous places.”
Authorities said that when Steele returned, her son tried to tell her something was wrong with his sister, saying, “It’s serious.”
Steele at first ignored him and stopped at another store before noticing the infant’s injuries, cops said.
“I’m telling you this kid’s face was a mess,” Gualtieri said. “There’s no mistaking the condition this baby was in.”
Instead of calling 911, Steele called a neighbor who is a nurse, and the nurse detected that the baby was dead, according to Gualtieri.
The boy allegedly told police investigators, “Sometimes people make very big mistakes,” the Tampa Bay Times reported.
So here’s a 62 year old with three children under age six. There’s a moral issue with the fertility clinic that artificially inseminated her. Obviously, the children born from science have suffered and will continue to suffer from this woman’s selfishness. The kids were locked in a hot car in Florida in August? That’s criminal by itself.
Let’s also at least raise the question of whether this single mother was supported by government welfare payments. Indeed, I wonder if the government paid for her golden years pregnancies. Whatever the answer, the children are going to be wards of the state now.
A sane culture would not allow elderly women to give birth to children. In a sane culture elderly women would not want to do that. But the lure of starring on a reality TV show must have been too much for her.
